In 2024, we had a unique opportunity to design a transitional housing facility for a non-profit company, 4PA (more info at www.4pa.org). The project included the design of temporary “shed” structures where residents would sleep and the renovation of an existing commercial building to create an office space and a recreational space for the residents which included a full kitchen, laundry room, and washroom/shower facilities. We used trauma-informed design techniques to create spaces that were calming for the residents to allow them a place to heal and grow.
“The 123W Design team exceeded our expectations! The step by step, clear communication, attention to detail and quality of the design package was impressive, saving us valuable time and money while keeping things moving. As a non-profit, return on investment is important to us and there is no question the 123W design team provided just that.” – Joe Descala, CEO of 4PA
