Our friend Merin, when asked about the inspiration for her art said, "I like to synthesize and hybridize, mixing the old with the new." We took this same approach when asked to look into new signage for the Port Angeles community. We scoured through historical records, old newspapers, yearbook photos, and even a brothel! The two fonts that we liked the most were from The Angeles Creamery and The Wilcox and White Piano Company. We used images from their old logos and retrofitted them into new font packs that could be used in the city for graphics and signage.
